Project update August 21st
Bruce:
We are at Cold Bay. Went to Adak but couldn’t land because of low cloud cover. Have refueled and will try again tomorrow depending on weather. Adak requires a 1200 ceiling because of a large mountain in the flight path.
Lucky when we landed at Cold Bay there was a crew repairing a truck and they helped us get a hold of someone who had fuel and also locate a place to stay. If they had not been there we would have been sleeping in the plane.
Art and crew have arrived at Adak and we are communicating by email.
