As for the Grunion flier asking the employees for more production– I was talking to Meryl [Kretschmann, Carson Martin’s daughter] and it is a 1995 reprint of an original that came out during the war- she says she remembers seeing one in her mother’s belongings. I thought it was kinda interesting- John Nobles (son of sailor John Nobles) told me his uncle helped to build the boats in Groton including the Grunion.
