My Dad, Mark DeCoste from Portland Maine, knew "Billy" Kornaahrens very well. (my Dad was 8 years younger). He grew up in Lewiston raised by his Aunt Helen Linehan & his grandmother Mary Linehan. They used to come down to Portland (Maine) every Sunday to vist my Dad. My Dad remembers that when he was a student at Annapolis and visiting Portland my Dad remembers walking with him as he hitch-hiked back to Lewiston. And, liked bananas as a kid. My Dad said, "He was kind of a hero to us ... he was the typical All-American boy. I named my son after him ... William Gregory DeCoste". My Dad will write you a letter in the future as he doesn't have a computer. Out of the three people in my Dad's family, my Dad says he knows him the best. Happy holidays! Meg

It was indeed a thrill to watch "Searching for the Grunion" last Wed. evening at the Newton History Museum. Thank you Joe Hunter for producing this in such an appropriate and sensitive manner.

I finally met Bruce Abele and his wife Sue as well as the very gifted photographer, Pete, who was "up close and personal" the entire night!! Bruce was most generous in sharing many details of the 2006 search as well as the greatly anticipated Aug. 2007 search.

I'm so grateful to be part of the "Grunion Family".
