Col John Hart has just pointed out the source of the “Possible Crew of Grunion” photo. It is the USS Gato not the Grunion.

Jim Lucas, a realtive of Louis Doel found this photo on a website selling model subs, in particular Gato class ones. The officer in the middle looks like my dad. We were not able to find anything inconsistent with it being the Grunion. Does anybody recognize any of the crew?

8:30 EST. John just called. While at 45,00 ft they had a rapid drop in cabin pressure. They were able to land at a nearby airport.
At this time everybdy is OK.
Still unknown what caused the problem.
Will cause delay.
