I see a post above from one of my relatives and share in her sentiment. As we share the same family I never realized my cousin Mary Bentz was as involved as she was. My thoughts and prayers will be with you on this journey. As I had an Uncle Carmine (carmen) Parziale on the Grunion.

As we eagerly await these last few weeks for the Grunion search to be completed, we offer our thankfulness to the Abele brothers, Bruce, John and Brad, to the "Sub ladies". one of whom is my cousin, Mary (Parziale) Bentz, dedicated to the search, and to all who worked in any capacity for this monumental endeavor of finding the USS Grunion.

Through the past months, we have become like family, sharing the hope and expectation of this verification of the submarine, USS Grunion. We have shared heart warming stories and perhaps even shed a tear or two. May the Maker of human hearts keep all of our hearts under His constant care.

Respectfully,
Janet L. Mehall
Niece of Carmine (Carmen) Parziale
