We just tried to do a second dive on Grunion in order to complete our survey of
the hull and to begin working up the slide scar in order to find the missing
bow section.

Unfortunately the seas are not cooperating at all and it’s far too rough to
launch.

We’re now heading back in to a more sheltered area to do some survey work on one
of the Japanese ships (Arare).

I live in Chicago, IL and saw a link for “Sunken WWII sub found off Alaska” (AP) I’ve been following the links to this article for the last hour or more. Fascinated at the technology available today and grateful that the final resting place of the USS Grunion has likely been found, giving solice to family members.
Thank you for this wonderful account of your findings. It made me feel as if I were in Max Rover with you.
    God Bless and God Speed!
