The Abele Family July 1941
A year later, almost to the day, Jim and 69 other individuals were gone.
They shall not be forgotten.
The first edition of the Grunion Book, Fatal Dive is available. I would suggest waiting for the second edition as there are a number of modifications being made.
Looking forward to the 2nd Edition to hit the printing presses. I’ll be the first in line to get one.

I read the book on a recent flight and have to say it was fascinating. As the son of the radioman on the USS Sea Robin I have heard these Pacific Theater stories over time. I do want to say that my father frequently speaks of the respect and trust he had for his own commander who took them through hell and back. Thank you for your valiant effort to close the historical gap for yourselves and the families of the crew. Thanks to Peter for sharing the quest to find a needle in a haystack. I will give the book to my Dad and look forward to discussing it with him. – All the best,
